Tsunami disasters cause many casualties, in addition to the impact on the environment such as damage to property, building structures, infrastructure and can cause economic disruption. Given the magnitude of losses arising from tsunami disasters, efforts are needed to minimize disaster risk through high self-efficacy in facing disasters. In an effort to increase community self-efficacy, the role of social capital needs to be encouraged and enhanced. The target of this Community Service (Pengmas) is the Pangumbahan Village Community, Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency as many as 40 participants which was held on January 8-10, 2022. The results of this community service found that there was an increase in community knowledge and perceptions of the importance of social capital in efforts to increase self-efficacy in dealing with disasters. To increase the self-efficacy of communities in disaster-prone areas, it is hoped that the government and community and educational organizations will be more optimized through training, seminars, workshops related to natural disasters, especially tsunami disasters.
