Meningkatkan pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi melalui sosialisasi pada remaja

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Indonesia merupakan wilayah yang rawan terhadap bencana di kawasan Asia Tenggara terkait dengan kondisi geografis, geologis, dan demografis. Oleh karena itu penting bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat terutama remaja untuk bersiap dalam menghadapi bencana gempa bumi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi pada siswa melalui intervensi sosialisasi yang terstruktur.

Metode: Desain yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental melalui pendekatan one group pre-test post-test design. Populasi adalah seluruh remaja SMPN 3 Surade Sukabumi dengan sampel sebanyak 40 responden yang diambil menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah projektor, slide power point dan kuesioner yang teruji valid dan reliabel. Analisis bivariat menggunakan paired sample t-test dengan Hedge’s g sebagai satuan ukuran efek.

Hasil: Nilai rata-rata pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan remaja pada tahap pre-test adalah 2,175 dan meningkat menjadi 7,825 pada tahap post-test. Terdapat pengaruh sosialisasi dalam meningkatkan skor pengetahuan kesiapsiagaan remaja (p <0,001, g = 2,166).

Kesimpulan: Kegiatan sosialisasi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana gempa bumi. Disarankan agar program edukasi kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi diimplementasikan secara berkelanjutan melalui integrasi dalam kurikulum sekolah.
