Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is a period of high risk for health problems such as anemia, especially in adolescent girls. Adolescent girls' adherence to the use of fe tablets can ward off anemia. One factor that plays a role in shaping compliance is knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between adolescent girls' knowledge about anemia and compliance in taking fe tablets.

Methods: This type of research is correlational research through a cross sectional approach. 171 respondents became respondents with a sample of 123 respondents through proportional random sampling. Data analysis using Somers'D test.

Results: The results of this study showed that most respondents had sufficient knowledge and adherence to taking iron (Fe) tablets most respondents had low adherence. The results also showed a p-value of 0.015 which means H0 is rejected, the Somers'D correlation value is 0.132 (Very weak).

Conclusion: The conclusion from the results of this study is that there is a relationship between the knowledge of adolescent girls about anemia and compliance in taking iron (Fe) tablets.
